Hi Eagle Spirit Fam, Due to current restrictions on gatherings in Quebec, as well as the uncertainty of guidelines over the summer, we will be unable to host an in-person camp for summer 2021. However, we are determined to not let that lead to a cancellation of the camp like last year. We’re working hard to develop possible alternatives to the camp that maintain its spirit, teachings and overall experience. We would appreciate your input on the idea of an online ESSF Camp for... this year, and we've developed a very short survey to gather this. Dear Parents, Guardians, Teachers, Campers and Indigenous Community Members, It is with deep regret that we are announcing the cancellation of the 2020 Eagle Spirit Science Futures camp. This came as a specific recommendation from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and as a general directive across McGill. As you may have heard the City of Montreal has cancelled most of their activities throughout the summer as well. Although we all knew this was a possibility it is still h...ard to know that the youth will not benefit from the camp this year. At the same time it is important to do what we can to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved. We would like to thank everyone for their involvement thus far, especially any and all students who have sent in applications indicating their interest. Dear Eagle Spirit Family, We hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe and well. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, our team has been discussing the Eagle Spirit Science Futures (ESSF) Camp planned for July 2020. ... The application deadline for campers and camp leaders is currently extended to May 8th 2020. Come early May, if we are able to safely move forward with the camp for 2020, we will announce this to everyone. For now, we continue to welcome your applications. Please disregard the April 5th deadline we previously shared. We recognize that this is a less than ideal situation, and want to reassure you that our decisions are made in consultation with our community partners, and will not be taken lightly.
