PAPER TOWEL DRIP! Using small paper cups, add water, and one marker each per cup. Let sit overnight so colour is strong. Using a piece of tissue paper, paper towel sheet, or coffee filter, children can use pipettes (droppers) to drop the colour on to the tissue paper to see the colour diffuse and mix together. This is a great visual learning activity that is also calming for the mind. Enjoy!
Exercise is a great activity for your mental health.

UNWRAPPING PRESENTS Guess what you don't need to throw away all the ripped wrapping paper from Christmas! Just put it in a box or a sensory bin. Add empty boxes and put some objects in it. Also add some cards that you can read to them. Let the children continue the pleasure of opening more gifts from their holiday season. They will have fun ripping the papers, throwing it in the air and dumping and refilling the bin. Great for fine motor development. Have fun!

FALL/SEASONAL LANTERNS: ( AGES 3-8+) Materials glass jars/ baby food jars or other; glue, water, tissue paper, paint brushes Skills- Naturalist, fine motor, sensory, self-esteem, focus & self-control, creativity ... There’s no wrong way to make lanterns but here is an easy method. Steps: Get an empty jar; Mason jars are ideal but you can use any jar that has a screw-top lid. Cut or tear tissue paper into smaller pieces about 1-2 in size. Prepare glue mixture (1:1 ratio) and apply to entire jar with the paint brush. Next, press cut/torn pieces of tissue paper onto the gluey surface and repeat until jar is covered. You can also layer fallen leaves, flower petals and ferns between the layers of tissue. Dry, then seal the lanterns. Waiting a couple of days to dry completely, apply Mod Podge (if you have some) or just another layer of glue mixture. Attach a rope or string handle and go for a Fall Lantern Walk. Enjoy!
