I though I would share the process I go through when trying to take a photo that's just right to show off the beauty of these pieces. It usually always entails a few different creative shots with whatever I have around at the time. Santa was a friend to me today. It almost always involves the dining room table because of the light that comes in it or if I have an overcast day I go outside on the back patio. Overcast days are the best! I am always surrounded by beads wait...ing their turn to become something wonderful. Last night I used a bead I've had for 9 years and trust me when I tell you I know where all my beads have come from and how long I have had them. For instance the necklace below the chain is new as of a few weeks ago from my favorite silver supplier. I so miss being able to go to their store and shop when I lived in ON. The bead caps are from a supplier in the same building. It was on one of the many trips mom and I took into downtown Toronto to bead shop. We would leave the building with tiny little bags empty wallets and smiles. We were also careful to hide the receipts from my dad he just wouldn't understand the little bags and big bills. The pearl was from a strand bought for a custom bracelet 4 years ago. I have only used two of the pearls on the strand since. I guard my pearls like I guard my silver. The anchor is new as a few weeks ago as well. So although It's just a necklace to you its my past full of happy memories.
