Here our Liebherr 28-320 is building a circular shaft to support our MTBM operations. Secant pile shafts are built by constructing intersecting reinforced concrete piles. The current project will be utilizing different shaft types and installation techniques to support MTBM and HDD efforts.

A view from the inside of our 1500mm ID concrete pipe drive. Removal of spoil happens through slurry lines placed on the invert of the primary liner in MTBM app...lications. These lines carry the excavated soil from the face of the tunnel nearly 280m back to the tunnel launch shaft. When this drive completes, that material will travel over 310m. And that’s just the tunnel length! This is the final of three drives for a large diameter watermain project. Up ahead in the picture you will take note of the curve in the alignment, by design. This radius is achieved with specialized survey equipment and guidance systems, part of the overall equipment package for this work.

A 220 meter drive with a 1000 metres radius curvature. ... On-line, on-grade and on-time!!! Consistent results come standard with over 70 years of experience!

Nothing better then getting back to the basics with this hand tunnel in Vaughan!! This 60 inch diameter hand tunnel will be 37 meters long and threaded with 900 mm concrete pipe. Great work by our crew in Vaughan to ensure this tunnel is on line and on grade!
