I have worked with Reiki through @goldenladyyeg since 2012. When I am fully connected to Reiki I feel the Energy of Love, Harmony, and pure enlightenment. So naturally after an accident in 2018 that took me through an unexpected journey of healing I decided it was time to learn how to use this tool myself. My connection, love, and passion for Reiki drew me to learn more, and by 2020 I was completing my level 3, Komyo Reiki. I have since opened my own practice offering distan...ce sessions in the midst of a global pandemic. The timing couldn’t be better! Personally I feel the world needs more healers to guide and support humanity to discover a higher version of ourselves. During my studies and personal practices over the last couple of years, I have built a strong connection to nature and the 5 elements of earth, air, water, fire, and ether. To facilitate these connections through sessions I use tools that include but are not limited to; sounds, crystals, sage, salts, oils, candles, and sea shells. Sessions are offered on a sliding scale and can be booked by email to Michelle Closs at [email protected]

I completed a children’s online course on composting for my daughter’s school recently and it reminded me how over complicated some think composting is and how surprised (I was too when I first learned) they are to discover it is REALLY SIMPLE!! I felt like a waste hero handing out ten mini tubes of worms to new homes!! That’s 10 households cutting their waste in half!! #yehmcr #wastewarrior #vermicomposting #wrigglerranch #redwigglers #compostingrocks

Practicing my Reiki Symbols for memorization!! As a Reiki Practitioner I use these symbols during sessions based on what energy pull I sense. One is for vital energy, purifying, charging, protecting. One is for letting go mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And my favorite Dai Komyo represents pure cosmic energy of pure love and enlightenment All Reiki symbols are in harmony with the power of the universe, the source

Global supply chains aren't just wasteful and unnecessary, they're also weird and totally unaccountable. This is why you can't get rid of sweatshops, child labor or slave labor under our current system.

My waste conscious mind does all sorts of cringing when I’m shopping during this pandemic and feeling rather helpless....so today I decided that I’m taking the war on waste to my computer and writing up some letters of suggestions for stores and manufacturers. Topics I’ll be addressing; #1- paper receipts are toxic, not easy to recycle, and can potentially be contaminated. In this age of technology how is it that not every POS system has the skip or email receipt option, is i...t simply training operators to use these functions? #2- plastic packaging made from virgin plastic - we all get that is cheaper but for the love of our planet there is enough plastic already in existence can we use that first PLEASE!!! #3- washable good quality reusable bags, most reusable bags sold are made of virgin plastics and can only be wiped with a cloth, making it more difficult and less likely to be cleaned. Ps. I prefer to pack my own groceries anyway!! #4- double packaging- medical supplies and beauty products are the worst for this! If it’s in a sealed bottle, why does it need a flimsy box too?? #wastewarrior #ecoconcious #keyboardwarrior #thelaststraw #forthefuture #fortheplanet #yeg #yegmcr #refuse #reduce #reuse #repurpose #lightandlove See more

Happy 50th Earth Day Anniversary! Here are my top 5 ways to be eco-conscious during quarantine! 1- COMPOST- #1 way to cut your waste in half!!! It’s fun and easy- ask me how!! 2- GROW SOMETHING - anything! Cut slips from house plants, plant seeds! 3- GET CREATIVE - convert waste or recycling into functional reusable items (yogurt cups and toilet paper tubes make great seed starter pots!)... 4- REPAIR - learn how to sew a button or mend a sock, glue that dolls head back on instead of buying a new one!! 5- SUPPORT LOCAL - with extra online orders and delivery services please search for a local source before buying internationally! #yeg #yegmcr #earthday #ecoconscious #forthefuture #refuse #reduce #reuse See more
