This has been a year of transition for so many of us. I too have been forced to make changes to my art business. I've been copper plating my pewter sculpture for over 20 years now. I had a great personal relationship with the family-run plating company that did a wonderful job for me. The COVID spring was too much for them and they permanently closed their doors. I will be selling the last of my copper-plated creatures and will no longer be making them in copper. Finding a ne...w company to work with has proven to really hard. Now with that said, I will still be creating my Earthly Creature series but only in silver pewter. On the bright side, I'm really excited about offering my skills to create custom designs in gold, silver and bronze. Plus I will be creating a new line of designs in gold, silver and bronze. This is a special year for me as I transition to precious metals and gems. I'm also turning 60 in October, so it's really is a good time for this change and to grow, continuing my journey of creating artworks in metal. I'm working on a new web site using my name "Cindy Cantelon - sculpture and jewelry". I will be posting when it's all is ready to fly... Here's one of my new designs... This is the symbol of the Bardic Grade for the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids in England. The circle represents the world, infinity and the sun and planets. The square represents the four elements and the limitations of time and space. This was an interesting and challenging pendant to make for a client.
