We hope everyone is having a great summer and enjoying the local lakes and rivers. East Gorham Fire and Rescue continue to stand by ready for emergencies in the communities. If you are parking at the Stand Pipe/Fire Hydrant by the Current River at the bridge on North Branch Rd, please park as far away as possible from the hydrant (the little red building) as possible. When there is a fire our trucks need to fill with water, and do so as quickly as possible! If there are vehi...cles parked in the way, that slows down our response time tremendously! Time is incredibly important as a fire can double its size in a matter of minutes. The fire trucks need a lot of room to pick up water, turn around and head to the emergency. Please help us, help you and your family! Thank you! Just to give you an idea of how much room we need, here is a picture of the team running some training at the hydrant

Effective midnight tonight, May 22nd 2020, East Gorham Fire and Rescue has issued a fire ban on all outdoor burning activities in order to comply with the MNR current Restricted Fire Zone.

PUBLIC NOTICE Kam-Current Road / Ferguson Creek Culvert #1 Ferguson Creek Culvert No. 1 located on Kam-Current Road, approximately 1.1 Km west of Onion Lake Roa...d is being replaced. Work will be performed by Wilco Contractors Superior Inc. and is anticipated to begin in early June 2020. To facilitate the replacement of the culvert, Kam-Current Road will be closed at the culvert location on June 8, 2020 and re-opened on September 11, 2020. A detour will be provided around the site on Pike Lake Road, Pursiainen Road and Onion Lake Road. Signs will be posted in advance advising motorists of the detour route.
