Hi everyone! December is here and our holiday's are fast approaching. If you can we're encouraging everyone to put in their food, treat and medication orders early. Although supplies are good there are some foods, in certain sizes, that are back ordered due to companies making product changes

2020 certainly has presented us with many unexpected challenges! Soon it will be Thanksgiving and we wish everyone a Happy and Healthy holiday! Remember critters LOVE the rich tasty foods we have on holidays and those foods can create havoc for your pets. Avoid feeding your holiday meal to pets to avoid gastroenteritis or pancreatitis.

Today is the start of getting our parking lot repaved! Friday we will have new pavement laid Unfortunately the company cannot pave on the weekend so we must endure It will be very loud today and Friday please secure your pets well. We'll be doing our best to limit exposure to noise by choosing which vestibule we ask you to enter. The lot will be blocked from cars Friday and Saturday.... If anyone needs assistance please call us and we will help get your pet into the building. 905-576-3344

We hope everyone had a great long weekend! It's a new time for all of us as we enter into the fall and the uncertainty of what the future holds. For us at the clinic we're continuing as we have since the pandemic started, pets only are admitted into the clinic. We have added a mask requirement when clients enter into the vestibules for pet drop offs and for contact payments with the POS machine.... A BIG THANK YOU to all of you for working with us so we can provide the best possible care. We've managed to maintain an almost normal volume of appointments by only allowing pets into the building and at the same time we've managed to keep all of our staff healthy! The phones are busy, despite adding phone lines! We appreciate your patience. Be safe out there looks like we're in this for the long haul

We hope everyone had a great weekend! Phase 2 is here, what happens now For our clinic we'll continue as we are with pets only coming into the clinic, based on the recommendations and guidelines we have been given.... As much as we would love to see all of you in person our clinic and it's layout is far too small to socially distance clients, Dr.'s and staff. We'd still have to keep our doors locked to control the flow of people, eliminate drops-ins and we would have to greatly limit the number of appointments available. The fortunate thing we do have with our building is the 2 vestibules we can use to safely transfer pets in and out of the building! To maintain our ability to offer all of our services to all of our clients in a timeline that's reasonable and to keep everyone safe we will continue in this fashion for the time being. Thank you for your continued support and understanding!

Hi! We hope everyone is doing as well as can be during COVID19. You may have heard that the government of Ontario is allowing veterinarians to offer more services beyond Emergency services, YAY! This means we can offer wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, Tick/Flea/Heartworm medications, etc. What does this mean for you and your pet? ... It means we can provide pretty much all the services offered by our clinic We are continuing with our Closed Door Policy which means pets will be permitted into the clinic....pet parents must remain outside of the clinic. This is to ensure our veterinarians and support staff remain healthy by maintaining social distance. We understand and appreciate this can be stressful for pet parents. Curbside pick ups will continue for medications, foods, and products. We strongly encourage ordering foods and over the counter products from our online store. It's really great to have your 'stuff' delivered to your door! Take care, we appreciate your continued support. We're in this together

It's raining , the days are warm and TICKS are out Now is the time to protect your pets against ticks. There are many options for prevention and many products can be dispensed one chew/vial at a time. If the phone lines are busy you can reach us through our website- request a prescription refill. See previous 'How To' post if you need some help. ... The Lyme disease bacterium, Borrelia burgdorferi, is spread through the bite of infected ticks. The blacklegged tick (or deer tick, Ixodes scapularis) spreads the disease. Remember that dogs (nor any other mammal for that matter) cannot transmit Borrelia burgorferi, the bacterium that causes Lyme disease, to people; however, this is a good example of a "one health" disease that clearly affects both people and animals. Finding the disease in one species is an indication that the other is at risk as well, when there is exposure to a common source (i.e. the ticks).(Worms and Germs Blog, November 10, 2014 ) Info for ticks: https://www.wormsandgermsblog.com//do/tick-tick-tickcheck/ https://www.wormsandgermsblog.com//lyme-disease-ticks-new/ https://www.petsandticks.com/
