Sunday’s Houghton Creek xcountry ski hill climb, fresh cold snow up to the six km mark.

Great cross country skiing up Houghton Creek road, 300 metre climb, 8 kms round trip. Lot’s of fresh, cold snow.

Not much snow on the Woodlot/Viewpoint trail, normally this time of the year I would be snowshoeing to get up to the viewpoints. Now you can hike up with just your boots. ESTBA has cleared out a few of the trees that came down in the windstorm.

One meter of snow up the forestry service road towards Plaid Lake/ Mount Crawford. Great backcountry skiing if you like to skin up and climb.

Great hiking this morning on the Pilot Bay trail to Boomers Beach. There is no snow on the trail as the warm weather and the rain has washed it away.

Great cross country skiing up Crawford Creek FSR. Lot’s of snow at the turn up to Plaid Lake. The FSR road is packed from the dump up to the 7km mark with cold snow. The temperature is supposed to stay below zero for a while so conditions will stay good.

Trans Canada Trail along the Eastshore is still clear for hiking and biking.

Cleaning up fallen trees on Boomers Trail today.

Cleaning up some deadfall on the viewpoint trail today.

The Trans Canada Trail is buffed up and ready for some mid summer hiking/ biking.

A new viewpoint bench at the beginning of the North Will Fraser trail.

A new bridge on the upper part of the Woodlot trail.

Just a reminder that all the ESTBA trails are NON MOTORIZED such as ATV’s and gas powered motorcycles. Please respect our trails that are built for hiking and biking only.

Jurgenmeister trail ride Sunday morning at 9:00 am. Meet at the Gray Creek store at 9:00. We’ll shuttle up to the entry FSR on the pass road.

The Jurgenmeister is all bucked out.

Still a bit of snow and downed trees on the upper Jurgenmeister trail, hope to get it cleaned up by the end of June.

Lockhart Creek ride Saturday at 10:00 am if anyone is interested. Meet at the campground parking lot. Peddle up to the 6.5 km creek crossing and then back down.

Yesterday we cleared out the Lockhart creek trail on the west side of the park. The trail is clear all the way to the second creek crossing at 9 kilometres. The first creek crossing at 6.5 kms is very slippery as the logs are still green. A couple of large trees are still down because our 20 saw was not capable of cutting them but the trail looks great.

More ESTBA work in progress today at the north Height of Land trail entrance.

More improvements going on at the Northend of the Height of Land trail. New map-board, gate and a sign in box.

Boomers trail is cleared and buffed all the way to the Pilot Bay trail. Pilot bay trail cleared from Boomers to Sawmill Bay campground and to the Pilot Bay trail parking lot. Pictures are the view from Boomers Beach in the spring time.

More improvements on the Will Fraser trail.

Eastside/eastshore trail loop cleared from the north end all the way to the upper levels connector.

A nice fresh ribbon of dirt on the upper levels trail. Trail is cleared all the way from Boomers hub to the south junction.

The Height of Land trail is all buffed up, from the south end all the way to the north exit/entrance.
