It’s Time to switch out your toothbrush! We recommend changing your toothbrush about every three months or sooner if the bristles are frayed. No matter what type of toothbrush you use, its bristles can become frayed and worn and may lose their effectiveness. And clinical research shows that a new toothbrush can remove more plaque than one that's worn out, ensuring that your brush is working its hardest to help keep your teeth clean and healthy.

Flossing contributes to good dental hygiene because it lifts and removes plaque and food in between your teeth. Brushing also removes plaque and food debris, but the bristles of a toothbrush can't reach deep in between teeth to remove it all. Therefore, flossing helps keep your mouth as clean as possible.
