Last year, thanks to your support, we conserved and restored 108,274 acres of habitatexceeding our conservation goal by more than 20 per cent. No one is helping Canada’s wetlands and the many environmental benefits they provide more than DUC’s conservation community. Thank you.

DUC is pleased to welcome Sebastien Rioux to the Quebec team as Manager of Provincial Operations July 1, 2021. Sebastien is joining the Quebec team June 1, 2021... for a transition period. Sebastien will be taking the reins from Bernard Filion, who will be retiring at the end of June 2021 after 44 years of dedicated service and leadership with DUC. Sebastien joins DUC from his position as director of programs at Fondation de la Faune du Québec. We are very happy that Sebastien will be joining the team. He brings a deep passion for conservation and he is well known in the Quebec conservation community. I’m convinced that his pragmatic approach will enable us to build our program forward from its current strong foundation, says Mark Gloutney, Director of Regional Operations for Eastern Canada and British Columbia.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our World Wetlands Day survey, to tell us why you care about wetland conservation! Even though we value these powerful... ecosystems, Canadians continue to lose wetland habitat at an alarming rate. You can help us reverse this trend of wetland loss.
