We're just sitting here, waiting it out. We have grand plans for this summer, and we hope that fate lets us pursue them!

An exciting day! We have our first newsletter going out. If you'd like to be in on it, please sign up on our website. We will be sending it out this evening. Also, we have a new blog post up in Kitchen Stories. This one is for Olivette's seafood chowder. It's a stick-to-your-ribs delicious meal for a cold (and in the case of today, rainy) day. eastof80.ca/en/kitchen-stories #explorecanada... #domestictravel #privatetravel #eastcoast #atlanticcanada #maritimes #exploreeast #recipe #eastof80chowder #seafoodchowder #chowder See more

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love the quote. However, Aristotle lived in Greece and I highly doubt he saw much snow, let alone had to shovel his driveway! Either way, he's got a point, being outdoors in winter is a wonderful thing. One of my favourite feelings is that coming in from the cold after a full day of skiing. The feeling of taking off your boots, the warm air from the fire hitting your cold cheeks, and a nice glass of whisky.

Is there anything better than a nice hot soak? Bring a little bit of Iceland to Canada as you warm your weary bones (and mind) in a Nordic spa. This is Siberia Spa just outside of Québec City, but there are loads of them all around the province, many conveniently located right near great outdoor activities and fantastic hotels. If you haven't done the cold plunge at one of these Nordic spas, we highly recommend it. It's bananas and all of your bits will sting, but it feels ...incredible when you slip back into the hot water. #explorecanada #domestictravel #privatetravel #exploreeast #quebec #qc #quebecregion #mtl #montreal #quebeccity #quebecoriginal #explorequebec #tourismequebec #nordicspa #inspiredbyiceland
