We are very pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Felisha Truong to our team! Dr. Truong has been a sports enthusiast all her life and was introduced to chiropractic after suffering a gymnastics accident as a teenager. Living with chronic pain at a young age inspired her to help others through chiropractic care. She graduated as co-Valedictorian at Palmer College of Chiropractic with Research Honors. She is also a published co-author of many scientific papers, and has giv...en platform presentations at the ACC Research Agenda Conference for the last few years. She served at the Veterans Affairs (Palo Alto) for 6 months during her schooling, obtaining in-depth experience treating complex chiropractic cases. During the evolving impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the health and safety of our patients remains our top priority. The Public Health Agency of Canada still assesses the public health risk associated with COVID-19 as low for Canada and we will continue to monitor and react accordingly as new information becomes available. In alignment with the Public Health Agency of Canada and the World Health Organization, we are following a number of protocols to maintain the h...ealth and safety of everyone in our clinic. FACILITY CLEANING: We have amplified the cleaning schedule of spaces and are utilizing abrasive germ-eliminating products. We are also ensuring objects such as door handles, lobby chairs and equipment are being disinfected frequently. PRACTITIONERS & STAFF: All practitioners and staff are following an enhanced hand-washing protocol. They will be washing their hands or using sanitizer before and after every patient interaction. PATIENTS: We are reminding everyone who enters Our clinic to assist in preventing the spread of germs by following the steps below. Wash your hands before, after and during your time at our clinic with soap under warm running water for at least 20 seconds. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer (>70%) if soap and water are not available (additional hand-sanitizing stations are available around the facility). Cover your mouth and nose with your arm when you sneeze or cough. Dispose of used tissues in a sanitary manner and wash your hands afterwards. Do not share water bottles. Stay home if you feel unwell. Please note that the clinic wont open until 1:30 pm tomorrow, Friday November 1st as Dr. Yee will be representing the BC Chiropractic Association speaking with Family Physicians from across Canada at the Family Medicine Forum. Dr. Yee will be speaking on evidence-based chiropractic care and the two publications he was involved with.
