A sunny Sunday spent by the Eastwood pond is exhausting says Trudy Donelda Evelyn, all while living her best life <3. She met some new friends, ran a marathon (from the pond to the grey barn- that's a 10 K race to a 14 year old chihuahua) and put three labs in their respective places several times throughout the day, hahahaha! In their defense, they were just slightly confused by the squirrel?/cat?/dog?! wee creature hanging out with them. She earned that nap.

Happy Easter folks :) Glad to see the Easter Bunny is becoming more inclusive and branching out from just chocolate (you know, for those of us who enjoy different kinds of treats ;) )

An observant pond visitor spotted this little guy the other day! It's my little baby turtle <3. I might have to call him my toddler turtle this year, he has grown a bit indeed (apparently my adoration of these creatures has become common knowledge, lol. Thank you for making my day, Nathalie :) )

Ooooh, thought I'd stumbled across the Easter Bunny's layover hotel for a minute there ;) (it's Miss Lilly, the sweet barn cat with the spiffy apartment. She's not old as dirt like Tony, but not a kid like Milo; between-ish)

My dinosaur aged phone has terrible audio and it was quite breezy tonight so you have to really, really listen and/or use your imagination, but somebody tell me: WHAT IS RUSTLING UNDERNEATH THOSE LEAVES?! Three nights in a row I've heard it; the first night I thought hmmmm....must just be one of those inexplicable one-time event nature things; the second night, I told the cats there must be an army of mice under there and get the hell to work....and then the word army made me think of zombies so tonight I scrutinized for the emergence of rotting limbs (glad to see none were spotted but I didn't hang around for long either, so who knows, right?!) Anyway, my flora and fauna savvy friends, what could be making all that under-the-leaves-gettin'-busy noises?

Just a wee update regarding the indoor swimming pool project...what day is it, folks? ;) (every year I think, "oh I won't be able to catch anybody, they are so on to me" but every year, succeed I do. I wasn't in sales for nothing, right? ;) )

It's like Sam and Boogaloo checked all the boxes on the "animals of Eastwood are strange creatures indeed" checklist ;) Sam's all like "HEY! are you chewing bubblegum?! I want!" Boogaloo "Dude. That's my tongue, do you mind?!" (thanks for capturing this, Andy!)

All the horses, inside and out, are coping just fine with this windy darn weather; I on the other hand was sure a tree would topple on me at any moment ;)

Live out boys are tucked in with hay in the shelter (Zedman too), ready for the pending rain. All good out there!

Charlie heard about the Santa Claus parade, thought he'd audition for a reindeer position. lol (thank you for the photo steal, Alicia!)

Zedman was a HUGE help during the recent tiling/picture taking activities; he really wanted to know what was going on and how he could assist, lol

I know these don't look like particularly exciting pictures but all farm owners everywhere (and especially horse farm owners) will understand the rejoicing that happened here today...the re-tiling project is pretty much wrapped up! We have one open spot to tie into the main tile, backfill and kiss it goodbye lol. We got good drainage for about 20 years out of the original tiles, this installment should do us for the rest of our days, right? Right?!
