With less then two days left in December look for us to announce this month's winner of a $100.00 gift certificate early in the New Year. Some quick holiday driving tips to remember Check that your windshield washer tank is fully topped up with a fluid that does not freeze to at least -41C Check that your wipers are in good shape and not worn... Check that your winter tires are properly inflated and in good tread condition. Ensure you have a good sturdy ice and snow scrapper, small shovel, as well as a bag of road salt tucked away for any unexpected conditions. Be aware of the weather forecast and adjust your travel plans accordingly. Give yourself lots of time to arrive at your destination, so you do not feel rushed or under pressure of a deadline. Keep a safe distance when following other vehicles, large highway trucks and plows. Be mindful that even, what appears to be clear highway surfaces can have black ice especially in places such as bridges and overpasses during falling temperatures.
