Some words have the same sound, for example: flour (noun): powder obtained from wheat and used to make bread (in Hindi 'ata' or 'maida' are examples of flour) flower (noun): the colourful, seed-bearing part of a plant (mogra, gulab, in Hindi are flowers.)
Minute I will be back in a minute. (Pronounced min-it) Please forward the minutes of our meeting to my manager. (Pronounced min-its) He does a minute examination of jewelry to determine its age. (Pronounced my-niut)... There is a minute stain on the jacket. (Pronounced my-niut) Interesting isn’t it? One spelling, yet not always pronounced the same way and means something different depending on how it is used in a sentence.
‘Kind’ She is a very *kind* person. It was not the *kind* of job she was looking for. The company paid us in *kind* when they ran out of cash. I got a company car and he got the delivery van. ... All of the above have the word ‘kind’ in them but do they mean the same thing? How is the describing word kind in sentence one different from the same word when used with the preposition ‘of’ and the preposition ‘in’? See more
Thank you everyone for the support. It has been a busy few months. Next set of classes will start in winter this year. Will update the website when we know the schedule for that time.
