We have made the difficult decision to temporarily close during the Ontario-wide lockdown to control the spread COVID-19. This will be difficult time for restaurants and small businesses as many are forced to limit their offerings. We urge everyone that has the means to support local restaurants and small businesses during this time. We have lots of neighbours on main street and county-wide that are still operating and we encourage you to support them in January. During th...is month we will be sharing posts of other restaurants on our stories to help spread the word of their services. We will certainly miss going to work and serving all our guests this month. We look forward to seeing everyone on the other side in good health and happiness. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Tonight we’re part of a special event in Picton #spiritinthesquare to support @raising.a.village. Many businesses will be open late so it’ll be a perfect time to cross gifts off your list while supporting local. We will have a elf workshop on display under our patio where we are accepting donations for the toy drive. Inside the restaurant, a charity shop will be set up and we will be selling toonie tots and coffee with all proceeds going to raising a village. I really hope we see you sometime tonight to wish you a happy holidays in person.

We are so thrilled to participate in our first ever Countylicious! We’re offering a $20 lunch featuring all local beverages. Countylicious starts tomorrow! We hope to serve many of of our friends and make some new ones too this month. Benny’s back! Introducing the Drive-In Benny, our take on an Eggs Benedict. Crispy, runny & savoury. Designed to be enjoyed in our dining room or as a decadent take-out dish. 2 poached eggs, bacon, hollandaise, green onions on potato cakes (gf), served with dressed greens.

Congrats to Marlene and Wayne. They have the honour of being our very first dine-in guests since early March 2020. Heres a little blast from the past from 2015. Back when The Vic was a tiny little coffee shop down by the @regenttheatrepicton. We remember being so thrilled to have won the vote for best lunch in @thecounty. We laughed because we opened a café because we wanted to have the best coffee in the County. Food was secondary in our business plan. This was the start of something transformative. Our sales started tracking higher and higher for food over drinks. Our little coffee s...hop was quickly turning into a restaurant. A few pivots and a necessary big move and were not the same little coffee shop. The drive-in model has been working very well. Who would have thought?! This week we celebrate our 6000th follower on the gram. When we posted this picture we got 9 s. Oh, how far weve all in 5 years, havent we? The Vic Drive-In has taken on considerable accommodations for those with specialty diets. Gluten-sensitive? We use bread in our kitchen but that's where the gluten ends. Almost all the other ingredients are all gluten-free. This includes our sauces, hot dogs and our tater tots are gluten-free, fried in a dedicated gluten-free fryer. And you have to try the GF hot dog and hamburger bun we use. So yum . Nut-Free? No nuts here! (Except for those kooky owners)... Dairy-Free? We stock oat milk for your coffee and plant cheese for your burger. Plant-based? Try the BellaBurger with vegan cheese. Or order the AvoToast and substitute Portabella mushroom for the egg. Our poutine is vegan if you ask for vegan cheese curds. Also, hello! Mango smoothie! Please be sure to tell us about your allergies or sensitivities when you order.
