Does this mask remind you of the Parent Trap movie? It's time to get STICKY for healthy and clear(er) skin! Why honey?? (Sorry vegans this isn't for you!) It has been known to help balance the pH level of your skin, help reduce inflammation and irritation! ... Manuka honey is a special type of honey that ONLY comes from New Zealand, as the bees collect nectar from the Manuka plant. Honey itself has antibacterial and antiseptic properties, but the Manuka plant has extra properties and is more powerful than other types of honey! Manuka honey also has these properties: -Antiviral -Antimicrobial -Anti-inflammatory -Antifungal -Antioxidant There are grading systems in which you want to look for: -16 or higher K-factor (the higher the better!) -16+ UMF -250 MG0 HOW to use honey as a mask? 1. Wash your face first. 2. Use about 1 tbsp. of honey and spread onto your face, neck, and upper chest. 3. Let sit for 20 mins. 4. Wash off using warm water and a facecloth. GF, DF & flourless Chocolate Banana Bread a healthier treat you'll want to bake! I mean who doesn't love banana bread?! I LOVE this recipe as much healthier than a regular recipe! It's naturally gluten free as it doesn't contain any flour. ... Coconut sugar is my go to, it's similar to a light brown sugar with a slight coconut flavour which only makes this recipe taste better! You really do NEED to use aluminum free baking soda for this recipe and ALL your baked goods. Why? Aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer's and breast cancer! This is a simple and easy thing you can do for your health! Healthy swaps in the kitchen can make all the difference when it comes to your acne, skin issues and hormones! 3 Very ripe brown bananas + 2 ripe bananas 1c. Nut butter of choice 3 Eggs or sub 1/2c. Coconut sugar 1 tbsp. Real vanilla extract 1 tsp. Aluminum free baking soda 3/4c. Cacao powder 1/4 tsp. Sea salt 1c. Chopped nuts @enjoylife chocolate chips or cacao nibs Directions: mash very ripe bananas, beat in nut butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Chop 1 ripe banana and add to bowl. Then mix in baking soda, cocoa, salt, and nuts. Then slice the last ripe banana length wise into 2, set aside. Place batter into a well greased loaf pan. Press banana slices curved sides down. Why SHOULD you meal prep for your PERIOD? I get you feel SHITTY during your period with cramps, headaches, nausea, tired, bloated etc! This makes eating healthy super hard! It's easier to grab a frozen meal, fast food or packaged foods (like Mr. Noodle)!... But what should I meal prep? -Make & freeze soup (chicken noodle with veggies is a great comfort food with all the food groups!) -Make & freeze pasta sauce or your own frozen meals -Roasted veggie salad and homemade dressing that can be eaten hot or cold -Quinoa salad like in the picture: cook quinoa, add your favorite veggies, make a quick dressing. I even heat this up in the winter! -Think granola bars, energy balls or bars, banana bread, healthy muffins (they all freeze well!) -Sweet tooth? Make your own chocolate with healthier ingredients or cookie dough fudge (recipe is posted on my insta & my blog) -Want candy? Make your own gummies with real fruit juice, less sugar and gut loving gelatin! (Recipe is on my insta and my blog) -Use your oven to your advantage! Bake veggies and protein (chicken, meatballs, salmon) at the same time! Things to keep in your pantry: -Frozen organic fruits and veggies -Canned beans/legumes and gf noodles -Nut butters, nuts, seeds -Seaweed snacks Will you try to meal prep before your next period?

SIGNS that my hormones were OFF YEARS ago-that I IGNORED!!! Don't be like me, keep reading -Hormonal acne -Not having a 'real' period because I was on the pill -Not having a fake period... -CRAZY mood swings that made me feel like I should've been committed! This one is KILLER! -I would wake up STARVING like I hadn't eaten in a week!, When we tried to get up and go out for Sunday brunch I would be hunched over in SOO much pain because I was THAT friggen HUNGRY you couldn't make me move!!! I hope you haven't experienced that or ever do! I slept through FIREWORKS that woke up my whole family while we were camping as a kid! Later on, I couldn't sleep through any noise as a teen! Then it got worse because I never had energy in the morning! Can you relate to any of these? Please don't be like me and WAIT for things to get sooo bad before getting help with your health issues! HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! Will you be celebrating?? Gong Hei fat Choi! (Wishing you a prosperous year!) I wanted to find a recipe that I could make a bit healthier. I found a baked coconut cake but don't let the name fool you! It's super dense more like a moon cake filling!... The original recipe included coconut extract but I left it out! WHY? Propylene glycol. Do you know what that is? It's used in food, cosmetics and even pharmaceuticals, uh GROSS! Studies have shown that it can cause seizures, other neurological issues, nausea, vertigo, and more. I'm not putting that in my food! I made mine using a fancy shaped muffin tin but you can bake it in whatever you like just BE WARE: the batter is EXTREMELY thin & runny! Baked Coconut Cake: 2 tbsp. Shredded coconut 1 Egg 1/2c. Rice flour 3/4c. Full fat coconut milk 1/2c. Coconut sugar 1/8c. Diced dates 3/4 tbsp. Coconut oil, melted Pinch sea salt Directions: Toast coconut on a baking sheet for 2 mins in the oven. Lightly beat the egg and then whisk in everything but the dates until smooth! Pour into a greased pan or molds, press the dates into the cake and bake at 350F for 15. Sprinkle with toasted coconut and continue baking for 10-20 mins depending on your pan. It will firm up as it cooks. Cool before eating and make sure to keep the rest in the fridge. Oh and Happy Friday everyone!

Valentine's HEALTHIER chocolate brownie recipe alert Your skin & hormones will thank you! This recipe is naturally gluten free and dairy free & doesn't include any unhealthy fats, sugars, fillers, colours or preservatives unlike some pre-made mixes What I about this recipe is that you can choose to serve it so many ways!... I chose this picture with a scoop with vanilla bean Coconut Bliss (dairy free ice cream). BUT I also made 2 other frosting for this desert! Chose from: -Chocolate mint mousse -Strawberry coconut or -Chocolate ganache (not my recipe but also delicious!) This recipe is made with real dates as the sweetener. I like it as its #realfood but you can choose to swap it for 2-3 tbsp. Honey, maple syrup or coconut sugar.
