In response to the message of solidarity to stand up to racial injustice and violence that has plagued our community, we are pleased to be able to help support where we can by giving you the opportunity to display the #StopAsianHate message proudly. We are selling these leather wristbands, made by our friends at @horaceandjasper at $12 each. Proceeds of each wristband sold will go to the YYC Chinatown Walking Club, a Chinatown safe walk initiative. 8 years ago, we were moving into this kitchen in Millarville to start our new concept, Eats of Asia. After 1 season, I quit my corporate job and moved our operation to Calgary's Kingsland Market (Market on Macleod). We knew nothing about running a business and learned everything along the way, with help from our good friends and peers. With everything going on today, I can safely say we've seen everything, shy of zombie apocalypse. We've worked with many good people, mentored... youth, helped immigrant women learn essential skills in their new country, and raised our kids. Although money is great to have, our success has been measured more in experiences and memories. In a few days, we will celebrate 8 years. I am thankful that you have all been part of our journey.
