My lazy version of ramen! I used store bought (locally made) chicken bone broth and I cooked the hard boiled eggs and the pork tenderloin in the air fryer. The ramen noodles were found in the freezer section at Save On Foods and they were really good. I had never made a ramen bowl before and this turned out delicious. I will definitely do this again, with no guarantee it will taste the same the second time! Well, the cashew based cheddar style cheese turned out more like a soft cream cheese, but it still tastes yummy! I’m not sure if I didn’t cook it long enough at the required temperature, or maybe my measurements were off... I’ve never before worked with agar agar and modified tapioca starch so I’m not sure! I’ll keep working on it and let you know. I went for dinner and drinks with some coworkers on Friday @one18empire .... we ate so much food! I gotta say though, some of us were a bit disappointed. The fries were over cooked - they were just crunchy bits with no real potato feel or taste left to them. One of us sent back a fried chicken sandwich because the chicken was overcooked as well - dry and hard. My scallops and cabbage were great but I didn’t really like the veggie burger. The beet and oyster mushroom combo did...n’t do it for me - the beets were sweet and the mushroom was chewy. I did get a gluten free bun and it was okay - rather dense and a bit crumbly but I’ve definitely seen worse. The goat cheese cheesecake was really good (as long as you like goat cheese!). Oh mmmmm cheese! This is my first attempt at making cashew based cheddar cheese! The color isn’t very cheddar-like because I couldn’t find beta carotene pills (I used a tad of annatto for a touch of color instead, but was concerned about changing the flavour). I’m always happy to support my friends @burgersonwheelsyyc ... They bring a smile to my face whenever I see them! The food truck was stationed @fitzbrewing in Airdrie - just a ten minute drive for me. Today I tried the Albertan burger. It has a tangy sweet bbq sauce and a spiced, crunchy onion ring on it. The flavours are very tasty and unique, but the Wicked Hot burger remains my fave. Carnitas tacos and enchiladas rojas @tequilaandtacosairdrie.ab last night. We rode our motorcycles there and relaxed on the patio, each with a big glass of horchata.
