The guys are really outdoing themselves, the store is really shaping up. Floors refinished. Painting finished. New wood walls finished. Shelving and cashiers counter finished. Refrigerator repaired. Add a freezer and some products and we're just about set. The store will open as our vegetable harvest starts, set for June 23. We have two new vendors to announce, we’re really getting things going! The first is Roots and Shoots, a vegetable farm just a short drive away from us in the Gatineau Hills. They now carry a nice selection of our beef at their on-farm store. The second is the Sandy Hill Pet and People Food Co-op. They have our grass-fed beef for the people, and our dehydrated liver treats and raw bones for the dogs. They plan to carry our fresh produce during the summer season. @rootsandshoo...tsfarm @sandyhillco.op Nous avons deux nouveaux fournisseurs à annoncer, nous faisons vraiment avancer les choses! Le premier est Roots and Shoots, une ferme maraîchère à quelques minutes en voiture de chez nous dans les collines de la Gatineau. Ils ont maintenant une belle sélection de notre bœuf dans leur magasin à la ferme. La deuxième est la Sandy Hill Pet and People Food Co-op. Farmers Market! We are happy to announce that we will be at the Byward Market every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the new producer-only market on York Street (near the big OTTAWA sign) from May to October. We will be bringing beef and vegetables throughout the season. Come see us there! Of course you can also place orders online any time and pick them up at the farm, in Sandy Hill (quite close to Byward Market), or have them delivered. Marché des fermiers! Playing in the snow at the farm! They love it, but it is a complicated relationship. The photo of our daughter with the barn in the background was taken about 15 minutes before she said, This is the worst day in the whole world! after losing a boot in the snow.
