A message from West Royalty Softball’s newly-elected president Dale Arsenault As your new president, I would first like to thank Greg Dobbin (director of coach...ing) and Sharon Hughes (recording secretary) and to acknowledge all of the hard work that they have put into West Royalty Softball over the years. These fine people are starting a new chapter in their lives and have decided to step down from their positions with the board after many years of service. They will be missed! I would also like to thank Mike Smith (past-president) for being the backbone of the association for many years. He is a man that lives softball, a person that anyone could call day or night with any questions, concerns or comments regarding our association. He might be stepping down, but I have a feeling he will not be far away. He has agreed to stay on with the board in the position of past-president for at least one more year to help with my transition. For that I am grateful! I certainly have big shoes to fill! I would also like to introduce and thank new and existing board members that have graciously given their time to join our team to help maintain and grow the association: Past President - Mike Smith Director of Coaching - Darren Gaudet Director of Equipment- Josh Silver Registrar - Bethany Broderick Recording Secretary - Kim Hardy Field Coordinator - Karma MacCallum Director of Communications - Mike Gauthier Treasurer - Jason MacLean Junior Director of Player Engagement - Lauren Smith. Our board members share the same love of the sport and commitment to our association as I do! I am looking forward to working with them this year and for years to come. To the players and parents of West Royalty Softball, I’ll do my very best to continue to offer a positive experience for any young athlete that chooses to pick up a bat and ball and put on a glove. I’ll be working with this board to ensure we continue to provide a top-notch sport experience for all of our athletes through quality coaching and skill development. I will be brainstorming with the board to introduce great new programs and clinics to help players improve and learn new skills that will benefit them when it counts most, at game time.
