My oh my...what a year that was. I think I’m probably joining the world today in collective joy...now that 2020 is finally over. Its been almost exactly 4 months since I last posted on social media wild to think about how different everything was then. Now that I’m in a place where I’m feeling ready to end my social hiatus, I want to share what’s been going on with you. ... I’m sure that you can relate when I say that 2020 was full of unexpected challenges, both personally and professionally. It had been a pretty difficult summer emotionally, because in addition to the global pandemic, we also lost my stepfather very suddenly in April. Originally I had only planned on being in Muskoka for a month, but quickly decided to stay until the Fall so I could help to support my Mom. To my surprise and delight, over the course of the summer as I started reconnecting to life in Muskoka, all kinds of new opportunities started popping up. Exciting new avenues for Ebb & Flow, new friendships, new products, new business contacts by September, I was feeling super positive and absolutely on fire with excitement to debut a new Vintage extension of Ebb & Flow. And then suddenly on September 8th, my world exploded. In the midst of a year that was already so full of unexpected challenges, my Mom...my soulmate, was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. I lost her 3 weeks later. The last 3 months have been a total blur of Estate responsibilities & a pretty hefty dose of grief brain fog it’s been such a busy time that I’m not even sure if I’ve actually processed the loss. But in the last few weeks I’ve started feeling small twinges of excitement to start refocusing on Ebb & Flow again...and it feels good. So thank you so much to everyone who’s still following in spite of the 4 month gap in posting. 2020 was by far the most painful and challenging year of my life...a completely opposite version of the one I pictured last January. But in the spirit of the same optimism that I was feeling on this day 1 year ago...I believe that better times lay just ahead for us all in 2021. Wishing everyone a safe and happy New Year Devon Xx

Well my friends...it was another knock your freaking socks off day out hunting for vintage finds in Huntsville (Muskoka) on Friday. I didnt show the shopping trip in Stories cause 1) I was kind of rushed, and 2) I had NO idea that Id find such great stuff. Im seriously loosing it with excitement to launch the 1st E&F Vintage Drop this fall because Im positive that youre going to love what Ive picked out for you. I cant help but feel like its so kind of serendipit...ous how this spring/summer evolved. If someone had have told me earlier this year that Id be adding select vintage and antiques to the shop I wouldnt have believed them. I cannot tell you how thrilled I was when I found this beautiful tank top at @raimentloft in Bracebridge last week. As soon as I saw it I knew that it was just what these zebra pants were waiting for. Now lets talk about these pants for a minute... Ive had them for years and Ive loved them for years...but Ive only worn them twice. Mostly because I could never find the right top for them, but also because I lacked the courage to wear them. You see...the last time I wor...e these pants some guy I used to know said mockingly oh look...Devon thinks shes a zebra today. Years later and perfect top found, I put on my zebra pants for a beautiful dinner out with friends over the weekend and I felt like a million bucks. So if wearing these pants makes me a zebra, or a cougar or whatever, Ill take it - cause Im not dumbing my style down for anyone...least of all, any of those guys that I used to know

Happy Friday guys!! We made it Well my goodness, that week was a bit of a blur! Its been full ice dye mask mode over here the last few days trying to keep up with the orders (THANK YOU SO MUCH!!). I was up till 1AM last night cranking those little beauties out and I just have 7 more to go! There is definitely a giant glass ofin my future! Ive been so busy with the masks that I havent had time to catch you up on others new goodies that have arrived! Will fill you in tomorrow on stories!

Well let me tell you, these ice dye masks have definitely become a labor of love! After dying the fabric (if you missed that video you can check it out on IGTV ) I tried 3 different mask patterns before I finally found 1 that I love. The resulting design is exactly what I was a picturing and putting together these lovely colour combinations has been so much fun!! The first batch has already gone out so I spent the better part of this morning sewing more. Theyre made from... super soft cotton and theyre reversible with complimenting patterns on either side. If you reached out to dibs one when I first announced that Id be making them, Ill follow up via DM to find out what colour youd like! It was a beautiful, hot, sunny day last Thursday so I jumped on the chance to break out the powder reactive dyes and get started on the fabric for the masks. I finished cutting all the pieces over the weekend and will start sewing them this week. This is happiness... Hi everyone! Some new followers have joined us lately so I thought this might be a good time to get in front of the cam to introduce myself and say THANK YOU!! A few little bits about me: my name is Devon and I started Ebb & Flow in 2016 because I had a dream. At the time, I had landed what I thought would be my dream job - working in the design studio of one of Canadas most notable jewelry designers - but I could not quiet the call Id felt my whole... life. I come from a long line of incredibly tenacious, creative, hardworking female entrepreneurs and growing up I always knew that one day Id follow suit. The truth is, as prepared as I thought I was....I had no freaking idea what I was doing when I started my business (I think they call that blind ambition). The learning curve over the last few years has been HUGE and its been filled with many ups and downs. But I wouldnt change a single part of my journey and most importantly, I wouldnt be here without YOU! Today I thought Id hit you with a little neutral decor inspiration via the lovely @lady.dail You could probably guess from perusing the online shop that Im a big fan of colour and pattern...but Ive definitely got love for a good neutral palette too. Ive been testing the waters a little bit in the online shop - first with the Geo Block Print throws from India and now with the solid white Mexican Blankets - and Im getting the impression that you guys... have some serious love for neutral too! Well yesterday was just the best day ever! When my girl Bryn asked if Id be down to participate in a shoot for her boutique elopement company @primpandpop the answer was an enthusiastic uhhh...YES!!.
