Good morning my friends. It was a wet start to the day for the East Coast Cannabis Substitution Program care pack giveaway, but the rain eventually stopped and... a great morning was had by all. An impromptu community garbage clean up by some of our clients, after the recent wild winds we had, was nice gesture and muchly appreciated. Thanks to all who contributed to and supports this great cause. We truly are saving lives. PLAHS #canadianlumber #thenook #naturalremedy See more

Good morning my Halifax peeps. We are so sorry for today’s giveaway. We were done by 9:07am. That was the fastest giveaway yet. ... The lineup was over 100 people strong when we arrived, and ran almost back to Cornwallis Street. We were blown away. I’m so sorry that so many of you came after we ran out; or after we left; and we apologize. I get that it’s not our fault, I get that we shouldn’t feel bad about it...but I do. For about a year and a half, we ran from 8:30-10:30 every Monday morning, and people have come to expect us to be there. But these days; with warmer weather and more people knowing about us; we’ve been running out faster and faster. We passed out 203 kits in under 40 minutes today, and the regulars wind up suffering because of it. I hear them in the lineup, talking about this is supposed to be for people that need it, and I share their frustration. But like the foodbank; we refuse no one. Today we had our first community clean up of the year. If you bring me back an at least 3/4 full bag of garbage, you get a little baggie with a 1/2 gram of hash, some papers and the feeling of pride that comes with helping clean up your neighbourhood. Thank you to all that perticipated and thank you to the YMCA for letting us leave about a dozen bags of garbage with them to get rid of. We really appreciate it. This weeks care packages were made with love from some fantastic people. Thanks to #canadianlumber for their continued commitment to helping people in need. With their help we are able to provide 200 roll it yourself joint kits, with papers. We appreciate you. Thanks to Marc and Paulette for building the joint kits and for the amazing ginger spice cookies you donate each week. We appreciate you. Thank you to Lady Gelatin for your contribution of 1:1 chocolate truffles and gummies. They are a popular addition to our kits. We appreciate you. Thank you to Robyn for her Heart + Soul pure CBD tincture. This has become an integral part of our kits that is missed by many if it’s not included. It’s like magic and we appreciate you for your compassion and your contribution. Thank you to the amazing folks at The Nook on Gottingen Street. A quiet little coffee and sandwich shop that knows all about compassion. They have a program of their own whereby they have tokens people can buy and give to people in need. They’re good for a coffee and a bagel or a meal, and they’ve been sending us some pretty regularly, to share with the folks in our line. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate you. So we left today with mixed emotions. We felt great to help so many and also help clean up the community; but we are sad that some still had to go without. Hope you all have a great week. Be warm, Be safe, Be kind. PLAHS (peaceloveandhippyshit)
