Since our churches are closed due to COVID-19, you may want to check out the Good Friday and the Easter Sunday Service Willowgrove United Church is posting on YouTube. Judy Sears LLWL, was supposed to be at our own joint Good Friday Service but we had to cancel it. She thought we may want to view theirs. ECHO BAY AND BAR RIVER UNITED CHURCHES ARE CLOSING FOR 2 WEEKS BECAUSE OF THE CORONAVIRUS. NO SERVICES MARCH 22nd and MARCH 29th. WE ARE HOPING TO RE-OPEN APRIL 5th. STAY TUNED FOR FURTHER UPDATES. PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS AND STAY SAFE ALL.

You are invited Weather Permitting Bar River United Church Sunday School’s Skating Party On Sunday, February 2, 2020 the Bar River United Church Sunday School will be having a Fellowship Skating Party. We will meet in the church as usual at 10:00 AM and after the Children’s Story we will walk to Bar River Rink. The children will skate until 11:00 AM. At 11:00 AM we invite all parents, grandparents and members of the congregation to join us for a hot lunch in the rink buil...ding. Lunch will be Sloppy Joes and Pizza. Hot chocolate, juice, tea and coffee will also be served. Sunday School parents are welcome to come and help our little ones with skates and to go skating, too. Children are asked to please wear helmets. For safety reasons, no children will be permitted on the ice in boots. Donations of a few cookies or squares for dessert would be most appreciated. Please note that there will be a joint service that day. There will be no service in Echo Bay. Hope to see you there! See more

No Sunday Service December 22nd. We are joining Bar River United Church at 10:00 a.m. for a Joint Communion Service with Rev. Bruce McLeish. There is also Sunday School. This is followed by a potluck lunch at the Bar River Hall with a Happy Birthday Jesus Cake! Hope you can make it. CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES ARE AT 6:30 P.M. AT BOTH CHURCHES. Sunday School begins September 8th with SUNDAE SUNDAY. September 15th the Sunday School will be attending Thessalon's Terry Fox Run. It begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Public School on Stanley Street. 2019's version of the Echo Bay United Church Sunday School Resurrection Garden. The heart stone will be rolled away on Easter morning. Sunrise Service on Maple Leaf Hill 7:30 a.m. There may be bagpipes! This is followed by a pancake breakfast at Echo Bay United Church. Joint Communion Church Service begins at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Bruce McLeish leading the worship. (Bar River United Church will be joining us). Happy Easter!
