Giddy-up cowboys and cowgirls! It was Western Day today.
We are so excited to introduce our wheel of winning as we celebrate the students making efforts to speak French in their classes! Here are our first two winners from Madame Ann Marie’s Kindergarten! A big thank you to our School Council for helping us purchase prizes! Stay tuned for more wheel of winning next week as we roll this out with our Grades 1-9!
Mme Pottage's 8-2 Sports Medicine class reinforced their learning by examining X-rays to discover which bones of the body were broken.
Today is the Epiphany of the Lord, which celebrates the many ways that Christ has made Himself known to the world through the visit of the Magi (Matthew 2:1-12). Please join us in our virtual Epiphany liturgy.
Share with us what you are learning this week! Feel free to tag @rdcrs or use the hashtag #rdcrsathome. We look forward to seeing your photos and/or videos.
Our division has implemented a COVID-19 hotline where parents/guardians are able to call or text if your child receives a positive COVID-19 result from Alberta Health Services. Learn more by reading the following letter from Superintendent, Kathleen Finnigan.
With students back for in-person learning, we would like to remind parents/guardians to complete the COVID-19 Alberta Health Daily Checklist. Please screen your child each day before sending them to school and/or on the school bus.
A big thank you to families, staff and students for another VERY successful ornament raffle fundraiser! We raised a grand total of $1098!!!! We were able to help out seven of our Camille families this Christmas season with the funds raised from the raffle! INCREDIBLE! Deliveries were made to the families and they are all very appreciative of our school's support! May God continue to bless you all with an abundance of peace, joy and love! Post-Christmas sales should have many ornaments on sale. We would LOVE ornament donations in the new year for our 2021 Christmas Ornament Raffle.
Today’s Feast of the Baptism of the Lord marks the conclusion of the Christmas Season and the beginning of Ordinary Time. It is a feast of transition from Jesus’ hidden life to that of His public ministry. It also echoes the theme of the Epiphany in that the Baptism of the Lord is another manifestation announcing Jesus’ divinity to all of His first followers and to the disciples of John the Baptist.
Today we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God. We honour the feast day of the Blessed Virgin Mary under the aspect of her motherhood of Jesus Christ. On this holy feast day, we take a moment as we start our new year to honour our Blessed Mother, who in her yes to God brought our Saviour into the world to redeem us. May Jesus and His Mother Mary enrich your lives during this New Year with an abundance of God’s blessings.

Thank you to soldiers, past and present, who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Merci!!
Our Grade 4 students received the gift of God's word in the form of their very own bibles today. A huge thank you to our Board of Trustees for this gift. Fr. Jan and Trustee Anne Marie Watson paid a special visit to our school to bless the bibles and have a conversation about the importance of scripture. We are surrounded by a tremendous faith community and are so grateful. AnneMarie Watson Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools
Our school will be closed for Fall Break. Enjoy the long weekend.
Tonight is the deadline for ordering items from our Swag store. These items make for great Christmas gifts!
Remembrance Day was a bit different in school today. We attempted our first live-stream into the classrooms. Here are some highlights and behind the scenes snapshots.
Tiny reminders of Remembrance Day. Students will scatter these rocks around their neighbourhood to help remember those who fought in the war. Merci à 3T pour ces belles roches de souvenir.
Congratulations to our grade 7 students who received the sacrament of Confirmation today. May they continue to walk hand-in-hand with God on their journey. God bless.
