Wind Warning for Nova Scotia Strong winds with severe and damaging gusts are expected or occurring. Hurricane Dorian is forecast to approach Nova Scotia during the day Saturday, strong easterly winds will develop Saturday morning with gusts currently forecast to reach 80 to 100 km/h during the late morning and into the afternoon.... Late Saturday, Dorian is forecast to make landfall somewhere over eastern Nova Scotia. Winds around the storm may reach hurricane strength over some portions of the province. Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may cause downed trees or toss loose objects. Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.

Introducing a new way to experience Halifax. Make your OWN FREE PIZZA in a historic public park. Bring all the pizza fixings to cook in a large outdoor wood-fired oven and make a picnic/afternoon of it! Located in the picturesque Dartmouth Commons, this unique outdoor pizza oven is open to anyone in the public to use whenever it’s open!... Public open ovens are held every Thursday and Saturday from June 3 August 31. Weekdays: 12:00 pm* and 6:00 pm each day (*Except Thursday which is only at 6:00 pm) Saturdays: 3:30 pm and 6:00 pm Sundays: 12:00 pm, 2:30 pm, and 5:00 pm LOCAL TIP: If you don’t have time to make your own fixings, stop by Stone Pizza at 71 Alderney Drive, where you can buy an unbaked pizza at a discount.
