What a CELEBRATION When you take a leap anytime, or right in the middle of a pandemic, it’s scary. The fear of the unknown and uncertainty can consume and stop you dead in your tracks. Something I have learned in my entrepreneurial journey and in life in general, is that there is never a perfect time to start something. We can hold ourselves back waiting for the right moment. Regardless of the circumstances that surround us, we have to jump because tomorrow is alway...s unknown. Pandemic or not. I am so happy I jumped. My heart is filled with such gratitude. You have showed up for me and are honestly just as excited as I am to be here. So many of you are thanking me for opening this little shop. I’m speechless. My tribe is here and I am so happy to be on this journey with all of you. Thank you to all of the council members, the chamber, my friends and family and everyone who came out today to make this such a special day. It is one I will never forget. With so many new faces, I thought I’d introduce myself. My name is Katrina and I started Eco-Refillary after learning recycling does not = recycled. I’ve been passionate about natural products and nutrition for years but rarely took inventory on my impact on the planet ... When you know better, you can do better. To be able to help you on your journey as well is like a dream come true I am a firm believer in making small changes. This isn’t about perfection or shaming. Everyone is welcome and I love to help. If you ever want advice on where to begin or feel overwhelmed by it all send me a dm or come into the shop. I am far from perfect. We are all in this together. I am in school for Holistic Nutritionist and hope to bring this into the store when I am finished. @innascents is my candle business My two girls are the light of my life and drive me to create change. I have a little black pug named Pria. She has become a bit of a store mascot. She brings joy to everyone she meets and definitely loves all of the attention at the shop! What a week you guys... To say I’ve been welcomed into this community is a huge understatement. The support has been surreal. Beyond my wildest dreams. Today marks 1 week that we have been open. ... THANK YOU For stopping by on your way to the cottage, camping or even a girls weekend getaway. Hearing your stories, where your going or where you have been is a true blessing to me. For all of my locals who made a point to come in to the store this week to welcome me into the community and support me in my dreams. For EVERYONE who has stopped in and loved on my store. The store was created thrifting as much as possible and sourced flooring made in Canada. It is so important to us to reuse and source local whenever we can. ... As we approach the opening of the store (August 28th) I just wanted to update all the things Delivery- We will not be offering delivery from August 27th - September 16th. Delivery will resume September 17th. In store pick ups will be offered at the market and also at the new location in Flesherton. Market- Starting tomorrow, for the next couple of weeks, Alex will be working the market!!! She is a registered holistic nutritionist and has a wealth of knowledge about t...he affects of toxic ingredients and the impact those have on our health and hormones. She actively tries to reduce waste in her daily life and cares deeply for the earth and environment. We are so lucky to have her Store- The store is opening on Friday August 28th and will be having a grand opening in the next two weeks. I will post a date when it is determined. The store hours will be: Friday- 10-6 Saturday- 10-5 Sunday- 11-3 Monday- CLOSED Tuesday- 10-5 Wednesday-10-5 Thursday-11-7 We are following all of public health guidelines in regards to COVID. We are 1 year old Eco-Refillary began April 17th 2019 and it has been an amazing first year! This year will forever be one for the books. We started outside at @stjacobsmarket outdoors and shortly after moving inside to our permanent home there. We’ve attended markets and spoke on panels. Then navigated a pandemic and what that looked like for our little business. Moving into an online platform and finally growing into a new retail location. (Opening August 28th) ... I’ve had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people and to be able to help them create less waste in their lives truly makes my heart beam!!! It has been such a pleasure to be a part of your journey. I’m forever grateful for the support of my friends and family who are tirelessly by my side helping me to make all of my dreams come to life. From renovating to working the markets to listening to all my crazy ideas. Thank you!!
