As we embark on this new decade, we’d like to thank our 2019 interns who travelled all the way to Toronto from France and Belgium to learn about renewable energy systems and strategic implementation. Not only did you learn from us, but you also taught us an important lesson: no matter what country you’re from, people across the world are demanding a better future and working together across borders to protect our planet and preserve it for future generations. We look forward to this decade ahead with hope and expectations of exponential change as we go through a global awakening of people across the world becoming more conscious of our impact on this planet and how we wish to be remembered by the generations to come.

This black Friday, hundreds of thousands of people across the world showed up on the streets rather than at shopping malls to demand climate justice. According to the Guardian, Business Insider and backed by 15,000 scientists: we appear to be undergoing Earth's sixth mass extinction and we must change our ways if we want to avoid "vast human misery". Although climate change is a natural process, humans seem to be speeding it up 1,000 times (Science Magazine). Some of Ecohive's team members were present at the climate strike held in Toronto on November 29, 2019. It is our moral obligation to raise awareness to the climate crisis so together we can become more environmentally conscious and take immediate steps to reduce our net carbon footprint before it is too late!
