Hello Edwards Families The lost and found is currently on tables outside the front door of the school so that families may take a look for missing items. Tables will be put outside each morning by 8:30 and brought in by 3:45.... All items will be donated on Thursday after school.

What a blustery, wintery day! Due to the weather we will not be putting out lost and found items. If it’s better tomorrow, they’ll be outside to be claimed by family members.

Dear Edwards Families, We have an update to the information that was sent to you on infinity scarves. Rocky View Schools is committed to providing a safe learn...ing environment for our students. After receiving feedback on RVS’ recent decision to prevent the wearing of infinity scarves on school property due to potential safety risks, the division will discourage these scarves but not eliminate them. Our main concern with the infinity scarf is that they are loose-fitting material wrapped around the neck that will not break away if they get caught on something. We thank you for continuing to work with us to keep our students safe.

Amazing job Edwards families; we made our goal of 1200 items for the Food Bank. CONGRATS. This is the last weekend to order for our Flower Fundraiser. Please log into Cash Online to order now. These funds raised goes right back to the school for fun activities. This year the funds are for Team Colour shirts and numeracy manipulative for the classrooms. Please encourage your kids to check out the list and found. Everything will be donated this Thursday after school is out.

Especially now after today’s announcements from the government please remember our deadline to decided whether or not you want to go online learning for your kids. Deadline is the 11th ans open on the 1st.

Nov. 18, 2020 Dear RVS Parents/Guardians, Rocky View Schools’ (RVS) priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our 25,000+ students and 2,500+ staff as we work hard to offer positive and engaging learning experiences. We appreciate this has been a challenging and uncertain time for many families and we thank you for everything you are doing to support your child's learning and minimize the spread of COVID-19.... We are embarking on another pivotal time in schools and a decision point for all RVS families. All parents/guardians will have from Dec. 1 to Dec. 11, 2020, at 5 p.m., to decide if their child will continue with their current mode of schooling (in-school or online) or make a one-time change. This change would be effective Feb. 1, 2021 and students would be committed to that mode of schooling for the remainder of the school year. Selection(s) will be made by parents/guardians through our SchoolEngage system (accessed through PowerSchool). Further details about this process will be provided closer to the selection window. It is vital that we hear from all families during the selection timeframeeven those who are not changing. This provides RVS with accurate information to make necessary in-school and online classroom changes and to help prepare schools, teachers and students for the transition. Please be aware that depending on how significant the changes are across the jurisdiction, your child’s teacher or class may change even if they continue with the same mode of schooling. Whenever possible, we will attempt to keep students with their existing homeroom teacher and online classes with their school. RVS understands families contemplating online learning are keen to gain a better understanding of what this mode of schooling would be like. We wanted to make you aware of the selection timeline and process as early as possible and will provide more information on online learning shortly through further updates like these, school updates and on our RVS website: COVID-19 Information for the 2020/21 School Year.
