To celebrate the conclusion of Le mois de la francophonie, yesterday, we held a mini Cabane à sucre Day! Although it was quite different, we made the best of it with a virtual Voyageur event and maple syrup in a cone. These maple cones were very delicious! Our teachers joined in the fun and wore their Coureur de bois outfits! So fun! #empproud #enfrançaissvp #moisdelafrancophonie

Thank you to our amazing students and their families! In one short week, through our Jelly Beans for Teens service project campaign we were able to raise over $1500! That translates to 10 New Beginnings Baskets for youth! Congratulations to the grade 3B class who brought in the most donations! They were just a few dollars short of $300! 4 home rooms (3B, 4B, 3A, 5A) collected enough for the purchase of 1 basket ($150/basket). To motivate our students to bring in donation...s Mme Timmer and Mme Baril agreed to eat a Bamboozled Jelly Bean for each basket raised in a homeroom ! We both ate the dead fish flavoured jelly bean and it was just awful!! We shared this experience during our virtual assembly and students could be heard cheering in the hallways throughout the entire school ! So fun! Bravo les amis! Tomorrow is the last day for students to bring in their donations for our Jelly Beans for Teens service project in support of Catholic Social Service’s New Beginnings Baskets For Youth. Presently in the lead is 3B. Closely behind them is 5A and M1. Students can bring in their donation tomorrow or parents can donate via School Cash online. We’re hoping to raise enough to sponsor the purchase of 7 baskets. Every little donation helps! #empproud #serviceproject
