The great thing about our basil plants is once you bring them home they are ready to go! You can keep it in the brown paper wrap (it's water proof) and water d...irectly into the wrap. The white wrap has hole at the bottom designed to suck up water and go directly to the roots. These basil plants currently grow in a coconut fiber base, great for water retention so water once a water is more then enough. In fact over watering is a big killer for herbs so be sure to pick up the plant, if it still feel weighty, no need to water! See more
