Rescue and Medical equipment, donated to the Economy Fire Brigade today. From the Yorke families along the shore, in memory of Vangie Yorke.A huge thank you to the Yorke family for the donation.

We are very fortunate to be surrounded by 2 great community's. Five Islands and Bass River Fire Departments joined together and bought a trailer. Now if they have any emergencies, they will have access to our equipment. Working together is the only way . We are in the process of setting up our machine for the challenges we will face. We appreciate everyone's support.

Very exciting day for the Economy Fire Brigade as we recieved our 2021 Kawasaki Mule, Ranch edition. The Mule came with a track kit and tires to allow the machine to travel through any condition. This will be a great addition to our brigade and surrounding areas. We want to thank everyone for their continued support in the Firefighters 50/50 draw as the proceeds help contribute to our equipment purchases.

Thanks to Chief McLaughlin and his team for sharing their Economy Fire Department. We hosted our last mobile household hazardous waste event of the year. Drive through Flu Vaccine Clinic will be held in the parking lot of the West Colchester Community Health Centre on Saturday October 24th. It will be a drive thr...ough so no one will need to get out of their vehicle. Please call the clinic at 902-647-2656 to book a time. We ask that you wear a short sleeve shirt and mask during your vaccination time. If you are not a patient at the clinic, please bring your health card with you that day. People over the age of 65 will be offered Pneumovax to protect against pneumococcal disease. People under the age of 65 with chronic health conditions are also able to receive this vaccination. Anyone who has not had a Tetanus shot in the last 10 years will be able to receive that vaccination as well. Please call 902-647-2656 to book. Thank you! See more

We'd like to thank everyone that has been supporting us with the Nova Scotia Firefighters 50/50 draw. The money raised has bought a new 80 gallon air compressor. The air compressor is very important to the hall. It keeps the air pressure up for the air brakes in all the trucks. This allows us to get to our calls as quick as possible. Thank you very much for the support.
