Good morning Halifax! We just wanted to provide an update for everyone about the potential exposure on Sunday, November 8th in ‘The Basement’ of The Shoe. . The potential exposure happened during our Sunday night comedy show, 8pm - 11:30pm. . Yesterday working with Public Health went extremely smooth. Within the hour after hearing the news, we had narrowed down all the comedians involved with the show, and we’re grateful that our clientele signed the log book. All personal in...formation was sent to Public Health yesterday, and their objective was to have everyone contacted immediately. . Our entire team has scheduled COVID-19 tests, spanning from yesterday afternoon to later today. They’re all self isolating to ensure further potential exposure. . Public Health is not concerned about The Economy Shoe Shop, and they did not take the names in the log book from the clientele that visited on Sunday to current. We will keep you posted if this does become an item in their file about the exposure. . We have always sanitized our venue(s) since the reopening of the economy, every single morning. Well, Halifax... it’s with heavy hearts we have to announce a potential exposure in The Basement of The Shoe on Sunday November 8th, 8pm - 11:30pm. Thank you to everyone that signed our log books, public health will be reaching out to you ASAP. How we cannot guarantee that cross exposure didn’t happen, The Economy Shoe Shop will also be closing immediately. Anyone that didn’t sign our log books is recommended to call 811 to discuss the potential exposure. All of our group in both locations will be getting tested, and we will reopen once they’re all clear. Please be safe, and stay aware!

After holding our breath for three straight days, we’re VERY happy to report that ALL of our employees that came in contact of this potential exposure have tested negative! . We still have three employees awaiting test results, we’re told those are coming today. These employees DID NOT work on the exposure date, and did not come in direct contact with the employees that did. We’re just being extra cautious. All other employees have tested negative! . Although our closure was ...not mandatory, we honestly feel comfortable reopening The Economy Shoe Shop starting tomorrow at Noon! & The Basement of The Shoe on Thursday! . Yesterday we had nine COVID-19 test results come back to us from Public Health, and we’re happy to say that ALL nine have come back NEGATIVE! . We still have a good handful of employees awaiting results, including the individuals that were in direct contact with the potential exposure in The Basement on Sunday, November 8th. We’re confident these results will come back to... us within the next 24 hours. . All of our staff is continuing to self isolate until we have finalized all of the test results. .
