Once the temperatures have reached 10 degrees for a least 7 consecutive days, we recommend clearing away dead plants, leaves and pulling weeds in your gardens. Many beneficial insects and pollinators overwinter in gardens so leaving material for them to take shelter in until it's consistently warmer will help these populations in thriving.

We are so excited to have added 20 new beds at the Churchill Meadows Community Garden to make room for our friends relocating from the Erin Mills Farmers Market Community Garden. Thanks to everyone who helped move soil, to the students of École Secondaire Catholique Sainte-Famille and Applewood Heights for constructing the beds, and the City of Mississauga for making this possible.
