The Los Cabos region made up of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo is one of the most beautiful and exclusive destinations in Mexico. Cabo San Lucas is located at the Southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula in the Mexican State of Baja California Sur. I recently spent five nights at the Rio Palace Cabo San Lucas. This property was refurbished in 2016. I am a sucker for a great view and the Riu Palace offers so many INCREDIBLE ones! The resort was sold out when I visited but the property is so large that it doesn't feel overcrowded (except maybe in the swim up bar --- but that just adds to the fun). This is very lively resort that offers fun for all ages! Due to strong sea currents and powerful waves, swimming off the beach at the Riu Palace is not safe and is prohibited but the views make up for that!!! Also just a short walk down the beach will lead you to an area that is safe for swimming.
