I've heard that you can use pure essential oils with pets but was a bit apprehensive to try. When we picked up our little Marley at 12 weeks old last year it made me realize that I had to be careful and do a bit of research. The one thing that was clear to me, whether essential oils are used for humans or pets, they should be pure. I have been diffusing pure essential oils most days in the past three years and I figured that if Marley didn't like the smell, he would get out... of the room where the diffuser was. In my research, I realized that there are some oils that you shouldn't diffuse around dogs and cats and there's oils that you shouldn't put on their bodies. Did you ever have your pet go crazy like a madman or madwoman? There have been a few times now that Marley could not settle down like he normally can. It was so easy to address... I put one drop of pure lavender oil in my palm, added a bit of fractionated coconut oil, rubbed my hands together and simply waved my hands back and forth about one foot away from his body.
