Chachi loves to run and play before his workouts for show jumping in order to stay fit. He was ready for the 2020 jump season, which was not to be. This guy loves to socialize, is very respectful of people and would never run anyone over. That's one of the charactristics of an amazing Sport Horse.

Free Jumping. A Father and his Daughter having an afternoon of fun! Two amazingly gifted athletes having fun and staying in shape awaiting for the show jumping season to start up again. Chachi (at 16 years old) glides over the five foot jumps with ease, elegance and efficiency while his daughter Sapphire (6 years old) was jumping at six feet, just because she wanted too and she could. They love jumping so much that Sapphire would exit the chute and then run to the entran...ce so that she could go through the chute and jump again. Sapphire comes by this naturally as she carries the bloodlines of show jumping royalty. Recently, Kathleen Kirsan, the author of North American Sport Horse Breeder and sport-horse-breeder.com had reviewed the genetics of SAPPHIRE, and here is what she had to say. "Zena (Sapphire’s mother) has the power sex balance of Landgraf close up, potent in jump guaranteed, and Sapphire is genetically the best, with the strongest Ramiro and Landgraf balance and she carries something we don't see often: a Corde daughter, well done...This is serious jump genetics" So how important are genetics for jumpers? Sapphire and Darry Lou have the same lineage of Quidam De Revel and Burggraaf in the same locations on the all important Dam lines. For those who don't know Darry Lou, he is a 12 year old stallion who just won the 2019 CP $3 Million International Grand Prix at the Spruce Meadows Masters, with rider Beezie Madden. Also, he was just sold to Jennifer Gates (daughter of Bill and Melinda Gates) for an undisclosed sum. It's nice to know that we have horses in Manitoba with world class genetics and bloodlines. Sapphire is a big, powerful, young athlete who is now getting comfortable in her body. She should thrive in show jumping with experience and good training. Come out and cheer for them when the show jumping season starts up again.

This is what a 16 year old Selle Francais athlete looks like, clipped, full of muscle, in shape and ready for the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair! Too bad it has been cancelled. Chachi loves to work and spend time with his friends, so he'll continue his training in anticipation for the jump season to start and hopefully resume soon. Also breeding season ($1,500 stud fee) is upon us now for competitive Sport Horses that should be born in Feb or March of 2021....
