We entered 2020 with our January kick...off with high hopes for the roaring 20s and what was to come. We'd started to hear discussions of Covid 19 coming out of China, but it seemed like a far-off problem that may not even affect us at all, but it did. Covid 19 changed things at a swiftness none of us could have expected. As realtors and business owners in a commission based environment, we worried about paying our bills, taking care of our families and what 2020 would look like. In the past 2 weeks. the number of cases of Covid 19 outside China has increased thirteen fold. We have never before seen a pandemic that can be controlled at the same time. There were some dark days. Would anyone buy or sell a house during a pandemic? How long will this be? How will we survive? We were declared an essential service and realized people always needed to buy or sell homes and so we came together. We help the communities we served as well as our country. As pillars in our community we knew we could take a leadership role during the pandemic and serve people. So serve we did we. We hosted Zoom Bingo. We dropped off care packages. We helped neighbour with groceries. We started charity initiatives. We supported local businesses and we sold real estate. We held deals together. We navigated choppy waters and we made sure our clients achieved their goals, regardless of what obstacles stood in their way. At Signature, we moved quickly and pivoted our team in a way we never thought possible. We moved an entire workforce home in 7 days. We instituted Signature LIVE three times a week. We produced content and "Done For You" marketing. While we supported our country to stay safe, we held each other up and supported you, our team of realtors...and you know what? We made it. We're here now. As we close in on 2021, it doesn't matter if you won an award or had your worst year ever or felt like you failed or could have tried better. It's over.
