'Tis the season! But... :-( Most of our dancers don't remember a September/Oktober that doesn't include a whole lot of dancing, music, beer and brats, and we miss it! We miss YOU!!! Things being what they are, we look forward to the future when we can all be together again. In the meantime, we invite you all to fill up that Stein, fire up the BBQ, tune in to some fest musik, and join us as we take a look back at Oktoberfest (and other events) over the last couple years!... We're back!!! Happy to announce that (socially distanced) Plattler practice will resume on Wednesday evenings at the Austria Vancouver Club. (7:30pm start.) Just guys for now, no couples dancing. The Austria Vancouver Club is looking for a person to fill a permanent "part time job" position as chef/manager of our kitchen. The right person will be in char...ge of purchasing supplies and preparing Austrian/German style meals for our events and some caterings, as well as other duties inherent with operating a kitchen. The Austria Vancouver Club is a Cultural Club dedicated to up-holding the Austrian culture. The environment is very friendly and family oriented. We hope this post finds everyone well! Tonight was supposed to be our annual Schuhplattlertanz. Last year’s dance was held the same weekend that we hosted the WestCan Workshop. Groups from Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Seattle joined us for a wonderful weekend of dance. Obviously we’re not able to welcome you to join us tonight, so we thought it might be nice to post a little throwback to last year’s event.
