Pine eating contest between the boys before the crazy wind storm (and yes! a bit of snow) came through this afternoon.

Our beautiful boys ....who I still call ‘calves’ as they will always be my big babies.

Today, we completed the first month of our run challenge! We’ve ran 151km so far and raised $850 on GoFundMe plus received a $1000 private donation! Windstorms and a couple health and injury hiccups couldn’t stop us but did slow us down a bit this month. As we keep running to raise funds for our hay barn, there are lots of ways to help - from following or sharing our fundraiser’s IG page @1000k_run_to_raise_a_hay_barn, liking posts (I post every run), to making a donation of any amount. It all makes a difference!

And the winner of the Easter Basket raffle draw is Tara Soundy! Congratulations!!! And thank you again everyone who bought tickets and came out to one of our Easter weekend tours. We raised $660, which covers the spring vet checks for our 8 rabbits !

Jenoveve and St. Francis. She is hoping everyone had a compassionate and cruelty-free Easter. Jenoveve is one of our hens rescued from a so-called ‘free range’ chicken farm last fall. And now she gets to live out the rest of her days truly free range at our sanctuary.
