Happy Halloween Eve from Edgemont Haunt!

The impaled corpse is the latest addition to #edgemonthaunt! Although the walk-through portion of the haunt is closed this year due to #stupidcovid there is still plenty to see on display in the front yard. Plus, we’re again collecting donations for the BC Firefighters’ Burn Fund. So please come by this Halloween for some spooky fun and help a good cause!

Since the Haunt is hibernating this year (the walk through, that is), I spent my time illustrating a children’s novel for a dear friend. This is a self-published, labour of love endeavour that also happens to be a fantastic story with a powerful, positive message - something we could all use after a very dour 2020. Any support, whether buying a copy or simply sharing this post, is greatly appreciated!

After much thought and consideration, we’ve decided that #edgemonthaunt will not be open for Halloween 2020. Our ghouls and creepers will remain locked away in the cellar until 2021, but our front yard cemetery will be on full display. We will also still be collecting donations for the B.C. Firefighters Burn Fund, so please stop by this October to enjoy some safe distance Halloween spirit and help a good cause! With another Halloween now behind us, we can look back and proudly say that "True North Terror" was our best year yet! The response was overwhelmingly positive and we raised $11,125.00 for the BC Professional Fire Fighters' Burn Fund - plus another $5000.00 contributed by the DNV Fire Fighters Charitable Society - for a whopping total of $16,125.00!!! None of this would be possible without the help of our tireless volunteers coming out night after night to scare the bejeezu...s out of folks. To all of you, who are too numerous to name, we thank you for all the effort and time you freely give to make the Haunt a success. And, of course, we thank all you folks, the community, for the constant support and encouragement we receive every year. You're the reason we push ourselves to do better - a sweet reminder of the wonderful neighborhood we all share. See you all for Halloween 2020!
