We had an engaging and interactive first day of our March break Science camp. It was all about plants. The junior batch learnt all about parts of the plant and created their seed jars. The senior batch learnt and performed experiments on pollination and seed dispersal. Thanks to our three volunteers Kaustub , Sadhana and Varun who did a great job. Here are a few pictures. Until tomorrow .
Join us this March break from March 11th to 15th for some exciting experiments. Check the flyer below for more details.
Don’t let your eyes fool you. This may look like a nest but it’s actually volcanic glass that is sharp enough to pierce skin! This natural phenomenon is called Pele’s hair and its actually droplets of lava that have been stretched out by the wind to form these hair-like structures. How cool is that!
Edge of Science had a good response at the Peel Parent teacher conference that was held at Mississauga Secondary School. We are excited to start off drop in cla...sses at both locations Brampton and Mississauga. The second picture shows a Rube Goldberg machine- the purpose was for the sugar cube to fall into the cup. Different simple machine concepts were used along with magnetism, torque and forces to name a few. Please send an email or call to check the schedules. See more
