EHN Canada invites you to join our Thrive Recovery Community! At EHN Canada, we believe that life in recovery will always be your best life. But never forget that successful long-term recovery requires deep commitment and hard work. Some days in recovery won’t be easy. And some other days will be really, really hard. We know that a little extra motivation can go a long way sometimes. That’s why we created a way for you to encourage and support each other as you face and overc...ome similar challenges in recovery. We invite our alumni, as well as anyone else living in recovery, to share, recognize, and celebrate each other’s accomplishments together as a community. Start by sharing a photo of your latest achievement or progressit doesn’t matter how big or small! (Full instructions at the end of this post.) As your confidence and your abilities increase, you’ll find yourself pursuing increasingly more meaningful and challenging goals. And you’ll notice yourself feeling greater and greater satisfactionrecovery gives us the gift of living life to its fullest. THE THRIVE CHALLENGE requires making three commitments: #1 NEVER STOP IMPROVING your abilities and trying to do things better. #2 PROGRESS EVERY DAY toward achieving at least one goal that’s both meaningful and challenging for you. #3 ALWAYS SPREAD POSITIVITY through everything you doacting with good intentions and helpful motives toward all your fellow humans will produce the greatest benefits for both yourself and for everyone else around you. It's National Addictions Awareness Week and we're asking Canadians to take action and see mental health and addictions as a community problem, not an individual one. It's National Addiction Awareness Week, an opportunity to have important conversations about what is happening in our country and communities. Often, substance use and addiction issues are seen as "their problem, not mine", but we want to change the conversation with the launch of our #ItsNotPersonal campaign. Here's where you come in! We're asking Canadians coast to coast to take one small action that could support someone struggling with addiction or mental health, now or i...n the future. All week long we'll be sharing steps that all of us can take to contribute to happy, healthy communities. To kick off the conversation, let us know in the comments what support systems, programs or resources you know of that are available for addiction and mental health issues. Let's create an amazing list of resources together! Comment below and share this post with your online community. #ItsNotPersonal #ChangeBeginsWithMe #NAAW

October 10th is #WorldMentalHealthDay. Mental health issues touch every one of our lives, whether we experience them ourselves or through someone close to us. We owe it to ourselves, our families, our friends, our coworkers, and our neighbours to raise awareness and educate others on behalf of those struggling with mental health issues. During these challenging times, we need to make the extra effort and check in with one another to see how we're all doing. That's why we at E...HN Canada created a Mental Health Survival Guide to give you the tools to help yourself and those around you. Please download a copy for yourself or to share. Stay safe out there. https://bit.ly/34FYACb
