Garlic's ready, 10$per lb, plus 7$ if you want it in a braid
This research project is interesting in itself, but until tomorrow, the list of goodies that come with any pledges (even $1) is just mind blowing. Oh! and yes, I am really looking forward to seeing the results. https://www.kickstarter.com/proje/paulwheaton/greenhouse-1
Field of dreams, Just added 10 Choke Cherry, 50 Red Oak, 5 High Bush Cranberries, 9 Asian Pears, 2 Apple trees and 8 red Currants Into my permaculture project. I also grafted 5 Apple trees that we grew from seed with some red flesh varieties. Still have more comfrey to transplant, Borage, Garlic Chives, and other herbs. The field is getting very full with lots of diversity. Remember, if you are creating a food forest you need lots of diversity and plants at all canopy levels from the ground up.
We will have our annual mushroom inoculation workshop on May 9th this year at the farm north of Kingston. Check it out here: http://edibleforestfarms.ca/mushroom-log-inoculation-works/ The number of spots is limited, so if you are interested, make sure to register in advance. Early bird pricing runs until April 4th.
