Homeowners should receive your declaration packages in the mail between January 19 and February 12th. Over 99.9% of the British Columbia’s are exempt from this tax, but residential property owners in the taxable regions MUST declare. If not exempt, you are required to pay the assessed amount by July 2, 2021. Tax is ...assessed based on property value, 2% for foreign owners and satellite families, and 0.5% for Canadians citizens or permanent residents of Canada who are not members of a satellite family.
