STATEMENT IN CONDEMNATION OF HATE-MOTIVATED ATTACK TARGETING MUSLIM WOMEN IN EDMONTON February 8, 2021 ESCAR strongly condemns the cowardly and inhumane attack against the Muslim women that occurred Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 03, 2021. These recent assaults, in addition to the December’s viciously hate-motivated attack at Southgate Mall, they all happened in a broad daylight and in public place, which is extremely alarming and that is simply not acceptable. ... ECSAR calls all levels of governments to take immediate actions and extra measures to protect the safety of the Muslim women in Edmonton. In addition, ECSAR shares our deepest condolences and sympathy with the families of the victims of these events. Sincerely, ECSAR

Sign this petition to tell Chief Dale McFee and EPS that they are not doing enough to solve the homicide of racialized young men and women who lost their lives to gun violence or any other form of violence. Tell the Chief and EPS leadership to draw dedicated attention to this crisis and appoint a Commissioner or Special Investigator to review the homicide investigations techniques used so far to solve these cases and to work closely with victims’ families to solve these cases in order to get to closure for victims’ families and for the community once for all.
