Had to holler at 2 young boys walking onto the ice/pond. This is now a working moving water under the ice pond. While the ice is generally thick even in the cold of winter the flowing water under from inlet to outflow can cause dangerously !!! Thin areas that even long before this starting to melt even a child could break through! Tell your children to stay OFF this and any other ponds, we dont need to become another statistic of the already too many lives lost by foolish actions on storm ponds in this city.

Serious consideration, pay attention to the information on this new variant in the UK that has already shown up in Italy. If this 70% more infectious variant of COVID has also become fully airborne, we will be facing a serious change in events !

This is why people need to understand, storm ponds at any time have moving water hidden from view, and thin ice, any time of the winter. These are NOT places to let your kids play on. Nor are they places to play in during the summer ! These are NOT swimming or skating locations.

Finally got some warning signs up around the pond after repeated calls to Brookfield lol like they ever do anything, Went to Epcor and got action in 1 day, that are going to remind Brookfield they should have done that long ago. This is a working pond at any time the ice can be dangerously thin, no matter how cold outside. With the number of incidents in the city why people have to be reminded, but I would rather that than see a terrible tragedy. The same applies in the summer, this is not a wading or pet swimming area. Merry Christmas.

this is saddening, if we don't wake up, I don't know what the daily numbers will have to be for Military police lockdown 1000-2000-????, but it was prepared for in the spring.
