Good Evening Bowlers, We are unfortunately letting the bowling community know tonight, the passing of an Edmonton long time icon John Martel. John he was a mainstay on many Edmonton Open Contingents over the years. He helped captured the first ever Open Men's Team National Championship by an Alberta team in 1975. He represented Alberta in 1979, 1993, 1994, 1996 on the Mixed Team's and once as a 1980 Men's Team's Coach.... He will always be remembered as a great man and an amazing competitor. Our deepest condolences to his wife Teddy, and the whole Martel family. Thank you for all the amazing memories for all the years
