At 4 months babies have so much going on: teething, first foods for some, sleep regression, a multitude of milestones... That "you outgrow your postpartum doula at the end of the fourth trimester" crap could not be more wrong and any doula who tells you that you no longer need postpartum support at 3 months is clearly out of touch with the reality of mothering a baby. Fundal height is a measurement used to assess the growth and development of your baby during pregnancy. Your doctor or midwife will use a measuring tape to observe how many centimetres between your pubic bone and the top of your uterus. After 24 weeks, your fundal height in centimeters is roughly equivalent to the week of gestation. For example, if you’re 32 weeks pregnant, your fundal height will be about 32 centimeters. After 37 weeks you baby begins to move lower into ...your pelvis. Research shows that exposing your unborn baby to music has long term effects. While there is no evidence that the music you listen to while you are pregnant will make your baby more intelligent, studies have shown that babies react differently to songs they heard regularly before birth. Your baby also becomes familiar with your voice and your partner’s voice before birth. So go ahead and sing that lullaby, play baby a tune, read stories, and bond with your baby using your voice!
